About the Author

Hello everyone,

My name is Christopher S. Bates, also known as originalme8 online. I have been in the tech and EUC spaces for 15+ years, and have worked extensively with Linux, Omnissa Horizon, Microsoft Windows, Imprivata OneSign.

I started my post-college career as a bag carrying Implementation engineer for Forward Advantage. It was here I developped a passion for End User Computing and workflow optimization, and I spent 9+ learning the most optimized way to deploy user workflows with Imprivata SSO, the Omnissa and Citrix , as well as provided technical guidence for in-house software Communication Directory and Authello.

Currently, I am the manager and one of the main technical leads for IGEL. I started as a Senior Engineer, under the guidence of Jeff Feige, and quickly rose to Team Lead, and then manager of the NA Support Team. Here I work with some of the smartest, and most motivated people I have ever met.

On top of this, I am the father of a two-year old and a dedicated husband. I try to remember that I would not be here without my family, close friends, and awesome colleagues I have known over the years.
